AAGP Helping Hands

Through AAGP membership support and resources, Helping Hands will stand as a beacon to highlight the positive which is inside apartment owners and vendors. By developing, implementing, and supporting new and existing community programs, Helping Hands will become an ever-present force and voice of change that is focused on the continuing enhancement of the Greater Philadelphia community.

With this mission statement as a guide, the Helping Hands committee is focusing its positive light on the following projects for this inaugural year: Habitat for Humanity, the Backpack project, and Cell phones for Soldiers. Details of each project will be distributed throughout the apartment community as the group moves forward. The members of Helping Hands have ambitious ideas and are eager to begin the giving back process.

Under the leadership of Heather Kamasa (NJ Window Erectors), Helping Hands will look to make footprints of change in the Greater Philadelphia community. The Backpack project continues to collect school supplies for children in need who live in the apartment communities. Habitat for Humanity will work to utilize the skills in the AAGP to give a family a sturdy new place to call home. Cell Phones for Soldiers is an organization which collects discarded and unwanted cell phones. These phones are then part of a plan which allows calls between soldiers and their love-ones. Helping Hands is focused on these great projects which will benefit so many people.

The success of Helping Hands not only depends on the committee's preparation, implementation, and execution of each endeavor. It is also dependent upon the generosity and open hearts of the apartment community. When you see the announcements and signs for Helping Hands, please take a moment to learn how you can give back. We all can use helping hands in our lives.
